How To Submit Your Application

  1. Write a 500-1,000 word plan detailing how you would use your passion to create a profitable business. We’re well aware of the economic challenges of the creative industry, and we would love to hear your plan on how you will stand out from the crowd and achieve your dreams, all while making a profit!
  2. Create a video (on YouTube, Vimeo, or similar) and explain your plan. Introduce your business idea and be creative! Submissions will be rated higher for social media promotion, such as YouTube thumbs ups, Facebook likes, and Twitter retweets.
  3. Tag us in your video! To do this, simply add “Dv8Studio.com Art Scholarship Contest Submission” to the first line of your video description.
  4. Fill out the form at the bottom of this page to complete your submission. Be sure to include your name, email address, the name of your school or university, your field of study, the URL to your video, and your 500-1,000 word creative business plan.

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility – The “Dv8 Studio Arts Scholarship” offered by Dv8Studio.com is open to graduating seniors who are enrolling into an arts program, as well as students who are currently enrolled in an arts program at a college, university, or trade school. No citizenship requirements apply. To qualify, applicants must have met all the requirements outlined above.

Submission Deadline – All submissions must be received by August 31, 2017 in order to qualify for this year’s scholarship. Unless the structure or requirements for next year’s scholarship change, submissions received after August 31, 2017 will be considered for 2018’s scholarship.

Choosing a Winner – Our panel of judges will review and evaluate all submissions. Submissions will be ranked on estimated success, creativity of your business plan, and more. We will also take the student’s effort to actively promote their video and business plan across social media platforms into consideration. Winners will be announced within 60 days of the submission deadline. Once we have completed the verification of eligibility, the winner will be notified of their award via email. Then, the student’s approved school will receive a one-time disbursement of $500 USD as a scholarship for the winning student. The student is responsible to ensure receipt of funds by the school and is responsible for notifying us if this is not the case within 60 days of the announcement. If the student’s school would prefer having the award paid directly to the student as award money rather than being paid to the school as a scholarship, we will do so upon request.

Minimum Submissions Requirement – We must receive a minimum of 25 qualified applicants for the competition, and these applicants must meet all the eligibility requirements outlined above. If less than 25 applications are received, those submissions will be rolled over into the scholarship for 2018.

Dv8Studio.com reserves the right to terminate this scholarship at any time without notice. If too few submissions are received, the scholarship committee may reduce the amount of the award. Additionally, if the committee feels that there is not an application that meets the standards of a winning submission, they may choose to not reward the prize at all. This scholarship is void where prohibited.
